March 3 in the lunar calendar is a traditional holiday in Longji, where Li-An Lodge is located. During this early spring season, clear creeks run in the mountain and wild flowers cover the hill side. The village is filled with red peach flowers and white pear blossom. On festival day, the Red Yao girls famous for their natural long hair are dressed in the best and gather together to celebrate.
